When Lt. Jason Short rushed to a Walmart plaza in Keen, New Hampshire, he knew he was racing against time. Someone had called 911 to report a baby trapped in a car on a hot day. Given the cases of kids dying in hot cars, Officer Jason knew he had to hurry!
He immediately identified the car in the parking lot, whipped out his baton, and smashed the window. He pulled out the little baby wrapped in a baby blanket, and then he realized that the little one seemed lifeless. He tried administering CPR to revive the baby. Nothing!
He called an ambulance as he tried to put a finger in the baby’s mouth to see if anything was obstructing the kid’s breathing. That’s when it hit him. He had to call off the emergency response!
